Est. 1983

1983

First opened by Peter and Georgia Edmonds in 1983 as 'Parkside Ceilings and Ceramics'.

Our Leicester showroom supplied tiles and suspended ceilings.

1985

Lisa and Clare, Peter and Georgia's daughters, were pivotal in Parkside's growth.

Lisa customised tiles in the showroom with our very own kiln, whilst Clare expanded the business' distribution, reaching the Midlands and beyond with a fleet of vehicles.

1989

We began importing tiles directly from Spain and Italy. This was before computers and the World Wide Web, therefore our orders were placed using Telex machines.

1994

We opened showrooms in Thurmaston, Wigston, and Burton-on-Trent as well as a large warehouse to support the rapidly growing distribution business.

2004

We started focussing our efforts on the commercial side of our business, supplying projects such as Nandos, Whitbred, and The London Eye.

2017

We become part of Topps Tiles Group, allowing us access to their warehouse and distribution network, as well as a huge bredth of new supplier relations.

2019

We acquire Strata Tiles, harnessing their unique technical expertise in the industry.

2019

We open our Clerkenwell Sustainability + Design Studio

Our Clerkenwell Studio allows a space for the A&D community to meet, design, and work on projects in an inspiring environment, with a focus on sustainability.

2022

Strata becomes a technical tile product brand of Parkside and we celebrate it's 20th anniversary.

By combining Parkside's design expertise with industry leading technical knowledge, we're able to offer all clients from every sector the best specification support and service.
