#DesignPopUp Manchester celebrates the future of design with a rich programme of talks, product demos, CPDs, and panel discussions. Hosted in the magnificent Hallé St Peter’s, the two-day exhibition for the A&D community explores the latest products in a relaxed environment.
Join us as we reveal how we plan to become a net carbon neutral operation in 2022. Alongside tiles with 40% recycled content or more, we’ll also be presenting the 40 for 40 partnership with the World Land Trust that preserves precious natural habitats.
#DesignPopUp will also be the platform for our Sustainable Surface Materials CPD seminar that looks at how the tile industry is reducing its impact on the environment through product innovations and manufacturing advances. Join us in person or virtually for a panel discussion that will reveal how on Sunday afternoon 29th March 2020, a team assembled in Manchester Central to discuss the prospect of converting the Grade II* listed events space into a surge hospital in just 14 days.
The next day the teams were based on site; designing, building, costing and delivering the project simultaneously in an astounding collaboration between contractors, architects, British Army Royal Engineers, project managers, engineers, clinicians, Manchester Central staff and statutory bodies.
Hear panellists reveal the powerful story of how the design and construction industries collaborated to overcome truly monumental challenges for the greater good. Plus, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to ask your questions.
