Borgen

Borgen is a wood effect porcelain tile in a 900x150x9mm plank format, designed around the pale, understated timber tones associated with Scandinavian interiors. The print reproduces natural grain and soft knotting along the length of each plank, while the matt finish keeps the surface close to the look of oiled or untreated wood rather than a lacquered board.

Three colourways are available. White gives a light, limed timber look, Ash brings a cooler grey tone and Oak offers a warmer natural wood shade. All three are held in UK stock, which helps on projects with tight programmes or phased deliveries.

As a porcelain alternative to real wood, Borgen avoids the movement, sealing and moisture concerns that come with timber flooring. This allows a consistent wood aesthetic to run through areas where timber would be unsuitable, including washrooms, hotel bathrooms and spaces with underfloor heating. The range is rated for walls and floors in both interior and exterior settings, so the same plank can extend from an internal floor onto a terrace or balcony.

The 900x150mm plank works in a straight or staggered layout for a classic boarded floor and can also be laid in herringbone for a more decorative finish in reception areas, restaurants and hotel corridors. For staggered layouts, keeping the offset to a third of the plank length or less helps control lippage across the floor.
