Buk

Buk is a slate effect porcelain tile that follows the direction and colour shifts of natural stone veining. The graphic reproduces the cleft splits and layered texture of riven slate, with a subtle metallic sheen that catches the light in the same way as the mineral content in quarried stone. Because it is porcelain, it avoids the flaking, sealing and maintenance associated with natural slate in high-traffic commercial areas.

The range comes in five colours: Ivory, Greige, Grey, Walnut and Anthracite. These cover light neutral floors through to darker, more dramatic surfaces. All five are also produced as 20mm outdoor pavers and as 300x300mm mosaic tiles for shower areas, falls and detailing.

Buk is offered in nine formats at 9mm thick, from 1194x1194mm and 1195x596mm large formats through to 596x297mm and a slim 596x97mm strip that works in herringbone or as a linear accent. The 20mm external tiles are available in 1195x596mm and 596x596mm. Finishes include Matt, Structured and External 20mm.

The full range is rated 36+ PTV on slider 96. The Structured finish also achieves 36+ PTV on slider 55, which makes it suitable for barefoot wet areas such as changing rooms and shower floors. Further options for areas where slip performance is a priority can be found in the slip-resistant tiles collection.

With matching colours across the internal and 20mm external tiles, Buk can run as a continuous surface from hotel lobbies, office receptions and restaurant floors out onto terraces and courtyards. It is equally suited to washroom walls and floors, retail spaces and communal areas in large residential developments.

Two Environmental Product Declarations are available to download covering the range.
