Lush

The uber fragrant High Street store, LUSH, have opened their latest outlet at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol to celebrated fanfare and excitement. Not only was this their 100th store, but it was also their first ever Gold Rated SKA accredited premises for their use of eco materials that included strawboard walls, eco paint, eco-lighting and of course the Strata Tiles Versaflex flooring system.

LUSH were excited when we first showed them the Versaflex flooring system as it fitted so well into their requirement of using products that had less impact on the environment – Versaflex fitted the brief for a multitude of reasons. Not only does Versaflex NOT use any damaging adhesive or grout, but as a dry flooring system, the tiles can be individually removed at any time, meaning LUSH could take the flooring with them should they choose to leave.

Convincing LUSH it was the right product was easy, it answered the brief perfectly. Proving this to the fit-out contractors who had never seen it, or worked with it, was potentially a greater challenge. With 5 days allocated to laying the floor, all parties were extremely pleased when it was all completed within 24 hours, even allowing for time to level areas of the floor to ensure the correct environment for laying.

“The feedback to the Cribbs Causeway fit-out has been outstanding, and a perfect display of the benefits of working with Versaflex,” says Neil Lutterloch, Business Development Manager for Strata Tiles. “Being onsite to watch the floor go down, and more importantly, being able to see all of the other fit-out contractors working on and around the new flooring as it was laid was impressive from a project perspective – there was literally NO downtime or delays while adhesives and grouts dried, it was immediate, very impressive and delivered the space ahead of schedule – and of course the finished result speak for themselves”.
