Elle's is a community-focused food hall and social dining destination created for Dhillon's Brewery Group in the heart of Coventry. Designed by Black Ivy Design, the venue reimagines the traditional food hall concept, replacing the often industrial, high-turnover environment with a warm, welcoming and highly flexible destination designed to encourage visitors to stay, socialise and return.
Spanning multiple floors, the interior balances vibrant communal spaces with quieter corners for relaxed dining, remote working and informal meetings. A soft palette of greens and warm peach tones, layered with considered lighting, bespoke artwork and oversized terrazzo-inspired surfaces, creates a calming yet characterful environment that feels equally suited to everyday use and special events.
Parkside supplied the tile specification for the project, helping to deliver the design team's vision of a contemporary hospitality space with a strong residential feel. Large-format terrazzo-effect tiles introduce texture and scale throughout the venue, whilst zellige-effect Lenton Forest Green tiles add depth, colour and a glossy tactile finish that enhances the warm, welcoming character of the space. Together, the tiles help unify the various zones across the building, supporting the venue's fluid customer journey and reinforcing the inviting atmosphere at the heart of the concept.
As well as offering long-term performance, the tile specification complements the project's focus on quality, longevity and timeless design. The result is a hospitality destination that feels distinctly different from the traditional food hall model, bringing together food, community and flexible social spaces in an environment designed to evolve throughout the day.
