Just a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, the newly refurbished 101 New Cavendish Street is situated just a five-minute walk from The Regent’s Park and Great Portland Street underground station. The refurbishment of the building began in 2016 with the third and fourth floors, now home to the British Olympic Association – Team GB.
The second phase of the project was completed in 2020 and included the upgrade of the façade, as well as the refurbishment of the ground floor entrance and reception areas, and a 4,280m2 contemporary workspace occupying the first and second floors. It is in the reception area and workspace where you will find our Technical Stone Marble floor tile in white and grey, specified by Buckley Gray Yeoman (BGY).
Technical Stone Marble is often chosen for high footfall areas because it is highly durable, scratch, impact and acid resistant, as well as easy to maintain. The tiles for 101 New Cavendish Street were supplied in a honed 180 finish to achieve the desired level of slip-resistance in bespoke sizes that were also cut to size. We also supplied various formats and thickness to accommodate edging details, recesses, stair treads and risers.
It is often the small details of a project that really take it from being ordinary to extraordinary, and 101 New Cavendish Street is no exception. The brass trim detailing is simple and sophisticated and really transforms the space that has been sympathetically renovated. Furthermore, the Technical Stone Marble flooring tiles will help ensure the interior’s longevity for years to come.
