London City Island

Situated on a new 12-acre island site in the heart of Docklands in the Leamouth Peninsula. The London City Island development by Ballymore introduced urban living to the Docklands area. Working with Glenn Howells and Woods Bagot architects, Strata Sales Manager Neil Lutterloch was tasked with supplying a seafaring red glass swimming pool tile that would pick up on the Islands maritime history and surrounding red references including the 260-foot iconic bridge that links the island with Canning Town and nearby Trinity Buoy Wharf.

Picking up on the bold primary colours used throughout the development Strata Tiles also supplied ‘traditional’ appearance crackle-glazed wall tiles used throughout the gym and shower areas as well as our Purbeck stone appearance slip-resistant floor tiles throughout the changing areas.
