Our Environmental Policy

Through our positive actions for lasting change, we give you the path of least resistance to sustainable material specifications.

For decades, Parkside has been a trusted tile source to the UK commercial project specification market, specifying contemporary porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tiles for every type of project.

From this position of influence, our vision is to lead the environmental agenda for the tile specification market.

We will do this by contributing to the realisation of a vibrant and sustainable society through continuous innovation and partnerships with environmental organisations and sustainable production pioneers.

We have adopted an eco-led services approach to energy sourcing across our company operations, from our company car policy that embraces new electric vehicle technology through transport, supply chain and logistics, waste and recycling.

Furthermore, we are committed to investing in research and building further understanding of solutions to environmental issues such as carbon reduction, climate change and resource depletion, working closely with University of East Anglia in Environmental Science.

Our Product Development

As part of Parkside's pledge to you, we offer an expanding range of finishes inspired by the world's naturally beautiful landscapes, technically enhance the potential uses of architectural surfaces and offer unique design opportunities all thanks to the use of state-of-the-art technologies.

We work to make sustainable tile choices an option for all projects. From the 100% biodegradable Criaterra and the world's first mass produced 95% recycled content tile with Principle, to high recycled content tiles that provide choices for technical and specialist tiles, as well as value tiles; we provide a path of least resistance in sustainable material choices.

Our complete sustainable specification service also includes high recycled content adhesives and grouts to accompany the high recycled content architectural finishes.

We ensure we operate a business that is sustainable, inclusive of the majority of our materials, and increasingly source many of our products from suppliers with leading environmentally friendly credentials, including Certified Corp B.

We also make sure that we are constantly monitoring and reducing impacts of our dedicated delivery service to clients.

Our Partnerships

Parkside works with several charities, including the World Land Trust alongside WRAP to support sustainability efforts within the UK and globally.

Our 40 for 40 programme in parternship with World Land Trust protects biodiverse habitats every time you purchase high recycled content tiles and has protected nearly 500,00m2 of land to date.

As members of Plastic Pact, we are working alongside WRAP to ensure our plastic packaging is 100% recyclable, and that it includes at least 30% recycled content.

We are also committed to working with aligned Group departments and the dedicated Group Sustainability Council to champion eco-innovations and continuous measurement and improvement.
